Favorites got lost, Public XC Marathon won by Belgian Van Aelbroeck

A group of more than 10 cyclists was about to spurt for the victory in the public Birell Bike Vysočina XC marathon. But it wasn't meant to be like this! 3 kilometers before the finish line a group of favorites took a wrong path and got lost for about a minute. Therefore it was an easy job for Belgian Van Aelbroeck to take the lead and keep it all the way to the finish line! Second was Czech rider Tomáš Tvrdík.

Birell Bike Vysočina public XC marathon in Nové Městě na Moravě (53 km):

Men: 1. Van Aelbroeck (Belg.) 2:03:14, 2. Tvrdík (Nilfisk Alto pro cycling) -4, 3. Kaněra (Ghost-Rubena racing team) -25, 4. Haman (Superior Riders) -33, 5. Jobánek (Superior Rubena team) -34, 6. Rauchfuss (Kellys Bikeranch team) -46.

Women: 1. Cesnaková (UGO Allivictus Čistý sport) 2:25:57, 2. Zeldenrustová (Niz.) -1:59, 3. Kolašínová (Superior Riders) -4:54.
